All About Me - Historical

Another installment of All About Me. This one's labeled "Historical". I always hated History in school. And outside of school. But since I'm being entreated to get involved a bit with genealogy, I'm trying to, um, reassess my views....

And so:

Mother's full name: Borrrinnnggg. How about I do a little stream of consciousness on her instead.

Her name is Carolyn and she died on Halloween of 1997 she was 51 years old which is very young but pretty old seeing the car wreck 9 years earlier should've killed her then and it nearly did she couldn't walk or speak or do much of anything except lay there for a few years but she worked hard and then she could talk kind of and she could walk a few steps kind of with a cane and some help and just as she was starting to live a bit more fully she up and died and they said it was complications from the original wreck and so it finally killed her. (Hmm. Apparently my stream is more focused on her having died than not.) She wrote a lot after the wreck I mean after she could move enough to do that and said that she saw Jesus while her body was laying there all mashed up inside that used to be a car and Jesus told her He was okay with her coming home to Him then but if she wanted she could stay with us awhile and it would be really hard for her but her kids would be blessed with some wonderful gifts they couldn't otherwise have if she wasn't there for them to learn from and so she decided to stay although she joked if Jesus had actually let her SEE what she was in for she might've said no thanks but we knew she was only joking because she loved us more than anything else in this world we could tell it was in her eyes. I do remember she seemed a lot happier after the wreck than she ever did before and I guess what they say about your happiness not being related to your circumstances is true after all. Even when you look at her pictures taken before the accident she looks hard and grim behind her smile and afterward even though her face doesn't look the same as it did and you can see the pain in her eyes she's happier and she got happier the longer she lived after the wreck so go figure and while I miss her I think of her walking and talking and looking with both eyes and running and dancing and I'm okay waiting until we meet up sometime a long time from now because I've still got a lot of living to do. She wasn't married to my dad when she died and not even when she had the wreck but later dad married another woman named Carolyn which still makes me to jump a little when I get an e-mail from her and it say from Carolyn Mosier and I think GHOST E-MAIL but of course that's only because I've seen so many ghost and zombie movies and because I'm a little morbid that way and sometimes when someone doesn't know my mom is dead and says something about inviting her or including her in some kind of event or activity I see a momcorpse - drag step drag step - walking into the event or activity and that's just my nature as well. As for pre-accident I don't have a lot of memories from my adolescence because it seems she was just busy and tired and overworked all the time like dad but I do remember her forcing an 18th birthday party on me saying she'd invite everyone she thought should attend unless I gave her a list of my own so i did. When I was younger I remember curling up in the crook behind her knees and watching scary movies so maybe she deserves to be remembered as a momcorpse after all and helping her make scones which have never been equaled and I'd have to say she was a darn good mom overall you never doubted you were loved - except during those teen years when you know more than your parents or anyone else i thought maybe she was just out to make my life miserable then but now with teens of my own i can see i was well... off base with that one.

Date of birth: 1946

Father's full name: Gary Richard and maybe he'll get his own stream of consciousness after he's dead and gone - which I also hope isn't for a long long time.

Date of birth: 1940

Mother's maiden name: Sorry, too many websites use this as a security question....

Siblings' names and ages:
  • Jon Todd - 10 months older than me. (Ouch, poor mom.)
  • Tony Glen - 6 years younger than me.
  • Tawnya Marie - 8 years younger than me.

Names of maternal grandparents: Glen and Viola

Names of paternal grandparents: George and Fern

Mother's family comes from: Ireland, I think.

Father's family comes from: Not sure, the name is French though....

Famous or notable relative or ancestor: Hmm. Can't really think of any except my dad's grandpa who was I think a professional photographer (among other things) and ended up in San Quentin for killing a man who... somethingsomething with somethingsomething wife or... it's all lost in the legend for me.

all about me - personal

I bought this little book called All About Me.

It's a collection of questions all grouped into topics like favorites, morals, friends, wishes, etc. Basically a giant print version of those annoying e-mail surveys.

Thought I'd fill it in, a section at a time, online. (Lucky you.)

It starts with a thing called "Personal". Which I'll fill in honestly, unless it's nobody's business. Then I might lie.

Okay. (clears throat) Here goes.

Personal

Name: Daniel Gregg Mosier. At times (mostly junior high age), also referred to as Dan Nosehair, Punk, and Hey you little @!$##%, I'm gonna beat the #$$** outa you.

Who'm I kidding? Anyone who wants it can Google me and get it inside 10 seconds. I can't believe my identity hasn't been stolen.

Has it?

Today's Date: Sigh. I hope these get more interesting. It's December 30th.

I'm also "compatible" with the same element signs, Pisces and Scorpio, and often considered to be good with Taurus. (I don't even know what this means. But my wife is an Aquarius.)
